James Barner has over 14 years of experience in the picture framing business. He got his start in Massachusetts at FrameKing, where he underwent an extensive training program, and quickly became a store manager, ultimately managing at a hub store and overseeing it's Specialty Framing Department, where the most demanding and complex jobs from the entire region were sent to be completed.

When he isn't framing art, James loves to teach, and has taught design and photography for the Portland Public Schools Adult Education Department for the last 6 years. Holding a degree in Painting and Art Education From Massachusetts College Of Art, James enjoys creating artwork that challenges the viewer to rethink their perceptions, using paint, photography, and computer illustration to do so.
